This role is for a Senior Software Engineer to join the product team at Marco, focusing on full-stack development using React, Node.js, and cloud-native infrastructure. About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our client, Marco, as an embedded member of their core product engineering team. You will not act as a siloed or managed contractor. Instead, you will integrate directly into daily operations—participating in daily standups, weekly engineering syncs, code reviews, and architectural planning side-by-side with internal leads.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-Stack Feature Delivery: Design, build, and maintain scalable applications across the full lifecycle, using modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks on both frontend and backend.
- Architecture & Infrastructure: Implement cloud-native architectures, serverless frameworks, and CI/CD automation pipelines.
- Team Integration: Participate actively in core agile rituals (daily standups and weekly engineering calls) with high autonomy and agency.
- Collaboration & Quality: Apply clean code standards (TDD, DDD, SOLID) and conduct thorough code reviews to maintain high technical standards.
Technical Requirements
- Experience: 8–10+ years of progressive experience in software development, including proven time operating at Senior or Staff Engineer levels.
- Frontend: React, NextJS, TypeScript/JavaScript, CSS frameworks (Sass, styled-components), with exposure to frameworks like Angular or Vue.
- Backend & APIs: Node.js, NestJS, and REST/GraphQL APIs (experience with C#/.NET or Python is a plus).
- Databases & Caching: Strong experience with relational and non-relational systems (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis).
- DevOps & Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Serverless Framework, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).

- US Hours Alignment: Ability to work full-time overlapping with US business hours.
- Track Record: Proven success working remotely with US-based or global fast-paced technology teams.
