Summary
Senior Software Engineer who designs, builds, and owns scalable, secure backend services and APIs end to end (design, coding, testing, deployment, monitoring), while mentoring junior engineers and improving CI/CD and observability. Core stack: Go/Python/Java/Rust, PostgreSQL/Redis/MongoDB, Docker/Kubernetes, cloud, and CI/CD.
What You'll Do
- Design, build and maintain scalable, secure backend services and APIs that power our core products
- Own features end to end, from technical design and implementation through testing, deployment and monitoring
- Make architecture decisions with a focus on performance, reliability and security
- Review code and mentor junior and mid-level engineers to raise the team's engineering standards
- Work closely with product, design and business stakeholders to turn requirements into practical technical solutions
- Improve CI/CD pipelines, observability and development workflows
- Troubleshoot production issues and drive root-cause fixes
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong track record of shipping production systems
- Proficiency in at least one backend language such as (Go / Python / Java / Rust)
- Solid experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB)
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD
- Strong understanding of system design, distributed systems and API design
- Good communication skills and comfort working with cross-border teams
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Nice to Have
- Experience with smart contracts (Solidity)
- Familiarity with security best practices and handling sensitive financial data
- Experience in a startup or fast-growing environment
