Senior Software Engineer (Plantation, FL)

Hybrid Senior Software Engineer Job Opportunity Join a leading multinational company serving the Aerospace, Defense, Transportation, and Security industries. Position Details Location: Plantation, FL (Hybrid 3 days onsite; Tuesday and Wednesday mandatory) Pay Rate: $94/hr. on W2 Benefits: Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance Contract: 14 months (potential extension or permanent conversion) Schedule: 40 hours/week, core hours 10 AM4 PM EST Pay Frequency: Weekly Interview Process 30-minute initial team screening Technical and non-technical panel interviews At least one panel interview onsite Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and refactor embedded software for next-generation platforms. Troubleshoot complex software issues, including multithreaded applications. Participate in software requirements, design reviews, and product releases. Collaborate with hardware, software, security, and testing teams. Mentor junior engineers and communicate project progress. Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. 58 years of relevant software engineering experience. 3 years of embedded systems experience. 3 years of programming experience in C/C++. Experience with software configuration management tools. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, particularly with multithreaded applications. Preferred Skills Masters degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Java or Python. AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud APIs. Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, and virtualization. REST APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, and CI/CD. Agile/SAFe methodologies. TLS/SSL and encryption security.
