Senior Software Engineer (Python)

We are searching for a Senior Software Engineer (Python) to deliver Python services and integrations for internal platforms and SaaS products that support business teams. You will estimate, implement, deploy on AWS, and support production while keeping solutions secure and cost-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Architect secure, high-performing, cost-aware Python services and integrations
• Translate business requirements into technical approaches, estimates, and delivery plans
• Establish technical specifications and guide junior engineers and external developers
• Drive end-to-end feature delivery through deployment and production support
• Engage stakeholders to set scope, priorities, and technical feasibility
• Increase reliability and maintainability through testing, monitoring, and automation
• Develop technical documentation that supports development and operations
• Communicate progress updates, risks, and trade-offs with the project team

Requirements

• Proven ability in Python with experience delivering production-grade services
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure design or operations
• Strong working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Experience in financial services or regulated environments building confidence-building systems
• Ability to solve complex problems and translate ambiguity into deliverables
• Stakeholder management skills collaborating with business users and engineers
• Sense of ownership with strong prioritization and follow-through
• Clear written and spoken communication ability

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS Glue or Amazon Managed Workflows for Apache Airflow or Control-M
• Experience with serverless architecture or microservices and REST APIs
• Messaging or streaming experience with Kafka or Amazon Kinesis
