Senior Software Engineer (Python)

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Python) to create secure Python services that integrate internal systems with SaaS tools for business teams. You will plan, build, deploy, and support cloud workloads on AWS while improving reliability with testing and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Engineer secure, high-throughput, cost-aware Python services and integrations
• Shape business needs into technical approaches, estimates, and delivery plans
• Draft technical specifications and coach junior engineers and external developers
• Complete feature delivery from implementation through deployment and production support
• Coordinate with stakeholders to confirm scope, priorities, and feasibility
• Enhance reliability and maintainability using testing, monitoring, and automation
• Produce technical documentation that enables development and operations
• Share status updates and communicate risks and trade-offs with the project team

Requirements

• Strong Python capability proven through production service delivery
• Applied AWS knowledge from designing or operating cloud infrastructure
• Practical SQL proficiency using relational database systems
• Experience in financial services or comfort building confidence-building systems in regulated settings
• Proven problem-solving ability to turn ambiguity into concrete deliverables
• Demonstrated stakeholder management with business users and engineers
• Ownership-driven approach with effective prioritization and follow-through
• Clear written and spoken communication

Nice to have

• Exposure to AWS Glue and/or Amazon Managed Workflows for Apache Airflow and/or Control-M
• Experience designing serverless or microservices solutions and building REST APIs
• Knowledge of Kafka or Amazon Kinesis for streaming and messaging
