Senior Software Engineer (Python)

We are looking for a strong Python engineer to join a project focused on building an energy management system that connects battery storage, PV installations, charging infrastructure, and other smart energy components into one intelligent platform. This role is suited for a mature, experienced engineer who is comfortable working independently on complex technical problems.
About the Project:
The project is a growing energy management platform running primarily on Python, with services connecting hardware devices and external data sources across the energy stack. You will build microservices, device communication protocols, and data processing logic that supports real time control functions, working closely with frontend, hardware, and energy engineering teams.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build microservices in Python for the energy management system;
- Implement integration of devices and APIs (Modbus, MQTT, REST, and similar protocols);
- Design data processing pipelines and control logic for the energy management system;
- Improve testing, logging, and monitoring practices;
- Collaborate closely with frontend, hardware, and energy engineering teams on system design;
- Solve complex technical problems within a high reliability, real time environment.
Qualifications:
- Completed degree in computer science, energy engineering, or a comparable field;
- Several years of professional experience with Python (e.g. FastAPI, pandas, asyncio) in production systems;
- Working knowledge of C++ is a plus;
- Prior experience in the energy sector is strongly preferred;
- Experience with distributed systems, microservice architecture, or IoT platforms;
- Strong understanding of API design, data modeling, and interface communication at scale;
- Mature, self-driven engineering approach with strong debugging and problem solving skills.
