As a Senior Software Engineer on our marketplace team, you will:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable services and APIs across our marketplace platform.

• Own outcomes end-to-end: backend services, the front-end surfaces they power, and the operational side of running them in production.

• Architect and optimize for performance, scalability, and security in a regulated financial-services context.

• Use AI coding assistants and agentic tools as part of your daily workflow, and apply senior judgment to what they produce: review it, test it, and take responsibility for it.

• Raise the quality bar through code review, testing strategy, and clear technical documentation.

• Collaborate with product, design, and business teams to turn requirements into technical solutions.

• Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers on both engineering fundamentals and effective AI-assisted development.

Must have:

• Strong full-stack capability: you are primarily a backend engineer, but you can build and ship the front end and handle the operational side of your services.

• Proficiency in Go, or deep experience in a comparable backend language plus a genuine appetite to learn Go quickly. Several of our engineers learned Go here.

• Working knowledge of PHP, or willingness to work in it. Parts of our marketplace run on PHP.

• Expertise in software design, architecture, and system-level thinking.

• Practical experience using AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar) in real production work, with a clear view of where they help and where they need to be reined in.

• Solid grounding in coding principles, data structures, and system design.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and their core services.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex production issues.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a multicultural, English-speaking environment.

Nice to have:

• TypeScript and React.

• Experience building product features on top of LLMs: API integration, retrieval, prompt design, evaluation, and cost and latency management.

• Experience with the reliability side of AI features: evals, guardrails, handling non-deterministic output, and keeping customer data safe when third-party models are involved.

• Ruby, or Dart and Flutter.

• Microservices or service-oriented architecture.

• Docker and Kubernetes.

• Test-Driven Development.

• Protocol Buffers and gRPC.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor / Master’s degree in IT, or a related field is preferred.

• Strong experience with Go (Golang) or willingness to learn and work with Go

• Strong understanding of software design, architecture & system-level thinking

• Solid knowledge of coding principles, data structures & algorithms

• Experience with Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Passion for continuous learning and technology
