Salary: $120 - $140 per hour including super
- 7 + 12 + 12-month contract

Our client, a very large Federal Government Organisation, whose focus is on national security, emergency management, boarder control, immigration and multicultural affairs, are seeking the experience of a Senior Software Engineer.
Duties of the Senior Software Engineer.
- Developing complex software applications using JavaScript technologies that meet business needs;
- Providing technical advice to various teams/stakeholders;
- Developing, maintaining and enabling automated performance of unit testing for system components;
- Development and maintenance of Azure DevOps Pipelines to manage automated deployments, security scanning and quality assurance;
- Security vulnerability remediation, library and package updates, including dependency management;
- Expected to transfer skills and knowledge to departmental staff and ensure appropriate documentation is stored;
- Required to actively participate and thus contribute to all Agile Ceremonies.
Skills and Experience Required
- Experience monitoring and assessing emerging technologies;
- Strong software development and lifecycle experience;
- Experience with complex software and systems design;
- Knowledge of software development methods, tools and standards;
- Strong technical leadership and stakeholder communication skills.
Desirable criteria
- 5+ years’ experience working with JavaScript technologies;
- 1+ years’ experience working with Applications hosted in AWS Cloud environments;
- Demonstrated experience with:
- React
- CSS, Less CSS & HTML
- Typescript or any Javascript MVC frameworks
- Web Services (SOAP and RESTful)
- Source code management using Git with Azure DevOps
- Azure Pipelines and related Azure technologies
- Designing, developing, supporting and maintaining capabilities in large complex ICT environments.
