Senior Software Engineer Rust Consumer

You will own the architecture and delivery of Rust backend services for trading, payments, and crypto experiences. You will take ambiguous problems through launch and measurement, shape product roadmaps, lead cross-team initiatives, mentor engineers, review designs, and use AI-assisted engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and delivery of customer-facing Rust backend services
• Take multi-quarter problems from concept to shipped and measured outcomes
• Own features end to end, including customer experience and frontend impact
• Partner with product leadership to shape product roadmaps
• Drive initiatives across trading infrastructure, platform, and product teams
• Mentor engineers, review designs, and establish engineering standards
• Use and help define effective AI-assisted engineering practices

Requirements

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience
• Deep Rust proficiency across network services, asynchronous code, and distributed systems design
• Experience with RPC protocols, Kafka, and event-driven architectures
• Experience making production architectural decisions
• Product engineering experience from problem definition through user impact
• Experience mentoring, reviewing designs, writing technical documentation, or setting standards
• Experience driving work across teams or organizations
• AI-first development approach
• End-to-end ownership across backend and frontend boundaries
