Senior Software Engineer

Summary

Build and lead the architecture of a scalable embedded software platform in C for automotive systems, focusing on RTOS, CAN/LIN/Ethernet, and safety-critical requirements.

Real‑Time OS Developer

The customer is looking for a real‑time OS developer with a strong focus on C. They are looking for a doer who has experience from the early phases of development. Ideally, someone who can both advocate for ideas and communicate effectively with architects, while having a solid understanding of system architecture. The candidate should have a strong background in C programming and experience with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet, as well as RTOS fundamentals.

The task is to help define and establish a scalable embedded software platform architecture (layered and component‑based) for several products, and to take a leading role in starting to implement it.

Some initial groundwork has been done, but it is still at an early stage and the client needs support in their core team to take it further and scale the effort. The environment involves a multicore MCU with many I/Os, quite a lot of functionality, and high requirements in terms of performance, functional safety and cybersecurity.

So essentially, they are looking for a very experienced, hands‑on embedded engineer who also has strong social and technical leadership skills.
