Senior Software Engineer, Support & Integration (C++) – Digital Patient Model
Summary
Senior C++ engineer on the Snke Anatomy Applications team providing third-level support and integration for the Digital Patient Model: investigating escalated customer issues, doing root-cause analysis in modern C++20 and legacy C++ code, helping customers integrate services via gRPC/Protocol Buffers, and contributing to development when support demand allows.
- Investigate and analyze customer-reported issues in production systems, integration setups, and internal environments.
- Reproduce issues, identify root causes, and provide clear technical findings to the responsible engineering team.
- Support customers with the integration of our services, APIs, and data flows.
- Analyze issues in legacy products and support their continued operation.
- Work with modern C++20 services and understand older C++ code bases for debugging and support purposes.
- Communicate technical findings clearly to internal teams and customers.
- Contribute to development work when support priorities allow.
- Several years of professional experience in C++ software engineering.
- Experience in technical support, application support, integration support, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially when reproducing issues, analyzing logs, and identifying root causes.
- Ability to work with both modern and older C++ code bases for debugging and support when necessary.
- Experience with distributed backend systems and gRPC services using Protocol Buffers.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical findings clearly and concisely.
- An independent, structured working style and the ability to drive investigations to a solid conclusion.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience supporting healthcare or other regulated software products.
- Familiarity with Git and scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, observability, logging, and monitoring.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Experience with DICOM or other medical data standards.
