We are seeking an experienced Software/Applications Engineer to develop, enhance and support software applications for a mission-critical systems project. You will work with technical teams to deliver reliable, secure and maintainable applications in a structured IT environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, maintain and enhance software applications using languages such as Java, C++, Python or Node.js.
- Support application deployment in cloud-native, virtualised or containerised environments.
- Implement automated testing, code management and CI/CD practices.
- Ensure applications meet security, reliability and performance requirements.
- Support software validation, troubleshooting and integration activities.
- Prepare technical documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Degree in Computer Science, Computing, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5-10 years of relevant software development experience.
- Proficiency in one or more relevant programming languages.
- Familiarity with Linux/UNIX or Windows environments, CI/CD, GitOps and infrastructure as code.
- Experience with cloud-native applications, ETL or data-stream processing is advantageous.
- Experience in regulated, aviation, aerospace, defence or other mission-critical environments is an advantage.
