Senior Software Engineer

Czym będziesz się zajmować?

  • Build and operate observability for a distributed Retail Platform deploying software across thousands of low-bandwidth stores through cloud-native and edge-based solutions.
  • Design metrics, logging, tracing and telemetry across cloud and edge components.
  • Build monitoring pipelines, dashboards and alerting for deployment health, device status and store operations.
  • Define SLIs, SLOs and reliability metrics for deployment services.
  • Create operational analytics for rollout progress, failure detection and capacity planning.
  • Integrate telemetry from cloud services, edge devices, deployment agents and infrastructure into centralized platforms.
  • Automate issue detection and root-cause analysis; develop self-service reporting for engineering, support and operations.
  • Drive observability standards and monitoring strategies across the Retail Platform.
  • Work 60% of the week, including three days, at office or local sites near Kraków and the remainder remotely.


Kogo poszukujemy?

Key requirements:
  • 6+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Strong Java development skills with the Spring Framework.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
  • Basic system design skills.
  • Deep understanding of metrics, logs, traces, alerting strategies and performance monitoring.
  • Experience with observability frameworks and standards such as OpenTelemetry.
  • Knowledge of event-driven systems and event sourcing patterns.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
Nice to have:
  • Familiarity with SQL databases and distributed systems concepts.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools, including Prometheus, Grafana, Victoria Metrics or New Relic.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex distributed systems in production.
