Tumaini Consulting is recruiting a Senior Software Engineer for a client in Gauteng, South Africa, to work across the full SDLC building and supporting web applications, APIs, and enterprise software while engaging directly with business stakeholders. Our client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a collaborative technology environment where you will play a key role across the full software development lifecycle. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. 5–7 years’ experience in software development. Strong proficiency in Java Script and Node.js. Advanced SQL skills with experience in Oracle and Postgre SQL; MS SQL Server advantageous. Experience developing and supporting web applications, APIs, and enterprise software solutions. Knowledge of database design, optimisation, and performance tuning. Experience with Git, source control, and Dev Ops practices. Experience with AWS. Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, and the broader Microsoft technology ecosystem. Experience with Jira or similar Agile project management tools. Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and the SDLC. Proven experience delivering solutions within a complex business environment. Experience engaging directly with business stakeholders and gathering requirements. Relevant industry certifications or coding bootcamp qualifications would be advantageous.
