Senior Software Engineer, TypeScript / Node.js

The Senior Software Engineer will lead the end‑to‑end design, development, and deployment of sophisticated software applications aligned with business goals. The role requires a collaborative mindset, analytical skills, and experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and related technologies.

Work in the Fort Mill, SC office Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday; remote Monday & Friday is optional. Address: 1101 Red Ventures Dr, Fort Mill, SC 29707.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the end-to-end design, development, and implementation of sophisticated software applications and systems aligned with business goals.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders including product managers, designers, and engineers to gather requirements and translate them into robust technical designs.
• Write high-quality, efficient, maintainable, and scalable code adhering to best practices and company standards.
• Debug, analyze, and resolve complex software defects and performance bottlenecks to ensure optimal system reliability and user experience.
• Conduct comprehensive testing and validation including unit, integration, and performance testing to guarantee software quality.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid‑level engineers, fostering professional growth and knowledge sharing.
• Perform thorough code reviews to maintain high code quality, enforce coding standards, and promote best practices across the team.
• Continuously improve software development processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry trends to inform technology strategy and innovation.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines and deliverables.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in software development, with focus on large‑scale applications.
• 5+ years of expert experience with TypeScript and hands‑on experience with OOP languages such as Node.js, Golang, or Ruby.
• 3+ years of experience with back‑end frameworks (Express, Ruby‑on‑Rails), relational databases (SQL, PostgreSQL), ORMs (Prisma, Sequelize, TypeORM), and working knowledge of CI/CD and IaC.
• Deep understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Experience with software testing.
• Experience using AI for code generation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
• Previous experience with healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
• Full‑stack programming experience with modern technologies including Node.js + TypeScript, Express, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, NoSQL, etc.
