• Machine learning in lending: We're building a cutting-edge machine learning model for credit risk prediction, alongside automated lead quality categorisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Shape the architectural foundations of our lending platform as it scales.

• Develop high-quality, maintainable software according to best practices.

• Design, build and deploy new customer, broker and internal features to production.

• Own your work end to end, from clarifying requirements through to supporting it in production.

• Contribute to the improvement of engineering best practices and culture as we grow.

Our Stack

We work in TypeScript end to end: Next.js and React with Tailwind CSS on the front end, Hono, BullMQ and Redis on the back end, and PostgreSQL with Drizzle ORM for data. The platform lives in a Bun and Turborepo monorepo, is tested with Vitest and Playwright, and is monitored with Sentry and PostHog.

AI coding tools such as Claude, Codex and Cursor are part of our everyday workflow.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer working on customer-facing products.

• Someone dynamic who can learn and apply new ideas quickly.

• Proficiency in TypeScript and React, with experience in Next.js.

• Solid back-end and data experience, ideally with Node.js and PostgreSQL.

• A passion for clean code, great UX and scalable systems.

• Experience with machine learning, data pipelines or financial services is a big plus.

Candidates who are willing and able to work with our IT team from within our professional offices on the Sunshine Coast will be highly regarded. We're also open to a hybrid or remote arrangement for the right candidate: someone who is highly skilled, self-motivated, accountable, and dedicated and passionate about helping to bring our vision to life.
