What you'll do

• Design and implement scalable software solutions that align with Userpilot's product vision and user needs.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and refine product requirements and specifications.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices in software development.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure high performance and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality and share knowledge with team members.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on technical challenges and career development.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our software development processes.
• Contribute to the development of technical documentation and user manuals to support product launches and updates.
• Collaborate with the DevOps team to streamline deployment processes and improve system reliability.
• Engage in troubleshooting and resolving production issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Provide input on architectural decisions and help shape the technical direction of the product.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on web applications.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Ruby, and experience with modern frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience with database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• A passion for user-centered design and a commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.

Nice to have

• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira or Trello.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Previous experience in a startup environment or working with SaaS products.
