Senior Software Engineer (Vue.js and Java)

Other Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and support both front-end and back-end application components.
• Build and maintain APIs and backend services using Java and associated frameworks.
• Develop and execute unit tests using JUnit and Jest to ensure application reliability and quality.
• Leverage SonarQube to monitor and uphold code quality standards.
• Use Git for source code management, following effective branching, merging, and deployment practices.
• Promote software development best practices, including automated testing and continuous integration, while ensuring adherence to coding standards, documentation guidelines, and maintainable design principles.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and actively contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives to enhance team productivity and long-term solution supportability.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, business analysts, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, development practices, and Generative AI concepts, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and automation.

Job Specifications:

• Possesses a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 7+ years of software development experience, with strong expertise in front-end development and a minimum of 3 years of practical experience in Java development.
• Strong proficiency in Vue.js and associated front-end technologies and frameworks.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience developing Java applications using Spring Framework, MyBatis, and Maven.
• Solid background in automated testing and code quality practices, including the use of JUnit and Jest.
• Practical experience working with relational database systems and SQL.
• Proficiency in using version control tools such as Git and similar source code management systems.
• Familiarity with SonarQube and its use in enforcing code quality and maintainability standards.
• Proven experience working within a Waterfall software development environment
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, developed environment.
• Possessed analytical skills with attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
• Open to learning Japanese and willing to develop Japanese language skills as needed for the role.
