Job Description: Senior Software Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Engineer with an exceptional command of backend tech to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Software Engineer, you play a crucial role in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software systems. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, leadership, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities: Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of software engineers Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning Contribute to the design and architecture of complex software solutions Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with overall system architecture Write high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards Lead or contribute to project planning and estimation Collaborate with product managers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions Create and maintain technical documentation for code, design, and architecture Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible to the team Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, QA, and operations Collaborate with other software engineers to promote best practices and knowledge sharing
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or a related field 5+ years of experience in software development, with substantial experience in backend and cloud infrastructure Expert-level proficiency in designing and developing high-performance, concurrent applications with Java, Python, Ruby, Scala Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles Experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) Solid knowledge of software testing methodologies and tools, including unit testing and integration testing for backend applications Demonstrated ability to lead projects, collaborate effectively with teams, and mentor junior engineers Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges Familiarity with additional programming languages, such as Golang, is a plus Passionate about software development and eager to stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in Software Development
