Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 per year
About the role
Zaydensoft PTY LTD is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Bangkok on a full-time basis. In this strategic role, you will take on significant technical leadership responsibilities, driving the design, development and delivery of robust software solutions that power our organisation. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our technical direction, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring the highest standards of code quality and software architecture across our projects.
What you'll be doing
Design and develop scalable software applications and systems using industry best practices and modern technologies
Lead technical design reviews and provide architectural guidance on complex software solutions
Write clean, efficient and well-documented code whilst maintaining high standards of code quality
Mentor and support junior software engineers, fostering their professional development and technical growth
Collaborate with product managers, designers and other stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, providing innovative solutions to challenging problems
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending adoption where beneficial
Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing across the engineering team
What we're looking for
7+ years of professional software development experience with a proven track record of delivering production software systems
Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, C++ or Go
Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns and SOLID principles
Experience with full-stack development, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud) and containerisation technologies
Proven experience with relational and non-relational databases, and API development
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex challenges into manageable solutions
Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience mentoring or leading junior developers, with a demonstrated commitment to team development
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent professional experience
Preferred qualifications
Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems
Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code
Exposure to machine learning or artificial intelligence technologies
Open source project contributions or demonstrable personal projects
