We are looking for an Automation Engineer (QA) with strong skills in test automation, working closely with the development team to create robust test journeys that validate product quality before they are deployed to production. You will be responsible for creating automated tests for changes, updates, and improvements to existing products, ensuring that security is maintained.
Daily Responsibilities
- You will work in a multidisciplinary team, acting as an Automation Engineer (QA), actively participating in discussions, proposals, and planning;
- You will act as a point of reference for technical questions and resolve critical bottlenecks, providing expert guidance;
- You will participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from conception to deployment and operation.
Key Deliverables:
- Prepare and execute manual and automated scripts using tools and frameworks such as Cypress, REST-Assured, JMeter, Selenium, Cucumber, among others;
- Manage internal testing tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, and the associated source code to integrate these tools with automation;
- Produce test harnesses with knowledge of the best languages and implement the solution in the CI/CD pipeline;
- Develop, maintain, and execute test suites such as Smoke, Sanity, and Regression, according to business requirements;
- Perform various types of testing, including:
- Black Box Testing
- Integration/End to End Testing
- Performance Testing
- User Interface (UI) Testing;
- Keep service documentation up to date;
- Constantly seek technical and performance improvements;
- Demonstrate a willingness for continuous learning and constant improvement.
Qualifications
What are we looking for in you?
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming languages and process management methodologies.
- Knowledge of testing methodologies and their respective tools.
- Experience with TDD/ATDD or Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and programming/testing.
- Ability to recognize risks and errors in an application.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Passion for testing, development, and design;
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, particularly using Jenkins.
It will be a plus:
- Having worked with test automation for Spark applications (Python or Scala);
- Experience with application instrumentation and observability (Dynatrace, Datadog, Grafana, etc.);
- Having worked with test automation in messaging and events.
