Senior Software Test Engineer (AMK)
Summary
Leads end-to-end QA for HR software projects, defining test strategies, managing SIT/UAT, and overseeing automation to ensure compliance and release readiness.
duties include:
- Test strategy & planning — Define the overall test strategy, scope, approach, test phases, timelines, resources, tools, entry/exit criteria, and deliverables.
- Test management — Manage SIT, system testing, integration testing, regression testing, UAT support, performance testing, security testing, and other required test phases.
- Team leadership — Lead test leads, QA engineers, testers, vendors, and offshore teams; assign work and monitor progress.
- Test case management — Ensure test scenarios, test cases, test scripts, test data, and requirements traceability are complete and properly reviewed.
- Defect management — Oversee defect logging, prioritisation, triage, retesting, closure, and escalation of critical defects.
- Test execution monitoring — Track execution progress, pass/fail rates, defect trends, coverage, blockers, and overall testing health.
- Stakeholder coordination — Work closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, System Engineers, Product Owners, business users, vendors, and clients.
- Risk management — Identify testing risks, dependencies, resource constraints, environment issues, and quality concerns, and establish mitigation plans.
- Test environment & data — Coordinate availability of test environments, interfaces, accounts, configurations, and appropriate test data.
- Automation oversight — Identify suitable areas for automated testing and oversee automation frameworks/tools for regression and repetitive testing.
- Quality assurance — Ensure testing follows organizational QA standards, processes, security requirements, and relevant regulatory/compliance requirements.
- Reporting — Prepare test dashboards, status reports, defect reports, test completion reports, and management updates.
- Release readiness — Assess whether testing has met exit criteria and provide a quality/risk assessment to support the Go/No-Go decision.
- Post-release improvement — Review production defects and testing gaps and recommend improvements to the testing process
Requirements:
Degree in IT / Software
With 3-6 yrs related experience
Experience in automation testing
Working location: AMK
