- Own the solution architecture for bids and delivery projects: scope, target architecture, integration design, non-functional requirements, effort and cost estimates, risks.
- Write and defend the technical part of RFI/RFP responses in Latvian.
- Act as technical lead for delivery teams: design decisions, architecture reviews, code and quality gates.
- Design integrations across cloud, on-premises, and legacy systems, including state registries and shared platforms.
- Assess where AI is the right solution component and where it is not, and design accordingly.
- Present and justify architecture to client business owners, procurement committees, and technical staff.
- 5+ years in solution or software architecture, including at least two enterprise-scale systems taken from design to production.
- Strong software engineering background and hands-on credibility with development teams.
- One major cloud platform in depth (Azure, AWS or GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
- System and API integration: patterns, messaging, event-driven design, data exchange, backward compatibility.
- Security and identity architecture fundamentals: authentication and authorisation, secrets, network segmentation, data classification.
- Non-functional design: performance, availability, scalability, cost, operability.
- Estimation and delivery discipline: you can size work, commit to it, and hold a team to quality.
- Public sector experience in Latvia or the EU: procurement, interoperability requirements, accessibility (WCAG), NIS2.
- Data platform and analytics architecture.
- Architecture documentation and modelling practice (C4, ArchiMate, ADRs).
- Legacy modernisation and phased migration programmes.
- Certifications in your primary cloud platform or TOGAF-level architecture practice.
- Salary 4000 – 6000 EUR gross/month
