Senior Solutions Architect (EDW Enterprise Data Warehouse Migrations)

Databricks is seeking a Solutions Architect (EDW Migrations) to lead large-scale EDW migration initiatives across EMEA. You will partner with product and account teams to craft adoption strategies, create technical assets, and mentor regional SA communities.

You will guide customers through migration to the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform, working with cloud teams and SI partners to ensure successful outcomes and scalable delivery.

Lead Regional Migration Strategy: design and drive the technical GTM and adoption for large-scale EDW migrations to the Databricks Platform. Develop scalable migration processes and programmatic assets for field teams and partners. Build and integrate automated assessment tooling for customer engagements. Act as tier-3 escalation point for complex migrations in must-win accounts across EMEA. Scale presales migration practice by mentoring the EMEA SA/SSA community. Bridge field insights with Product Management and Engineering. Establish thought leadership through whitepapers, blogs, and high-impact presentations (e.g. Data + AI Summit). Collaborate with Professional Services and SI partners to standardize delivery and handoffs. 8+ Years of customer-facing experience influencing technical executives and driving database modernization strategy. Legacy Data Warehouse and modernization architecture understanding to transition workloads to the Databricks Platform. Migration scope and progression from EDW to Databricks Data Intelligence Platform. Lakehouse architecture with hands-on Spark, Python and SQL. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Public Cloud architecture experience (AWS, Azure, GCP). Strategic enablement and community mentorship. Experience with Professional Services and Global System Integrators for standardized delivery.
