Senior Solutions Engineer

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Interact with customers, NI staff, external partners, and external suppliers in support of designing, implementing, and sustaining custom test solutions.
  • High-level collaborative design of integrated solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to development processes and standard methodologies.
  • Engage in the development of reusable software to be utilized by multiple projects.
  • Review work quality and mentor junior engineers.
  • Work with Project Managers to find efficient technical solutions to project challenges.
  • Responsible for technical deliverables for the given project.
  • Collaborate with the project lead on the design of the systems, workflows, and architectures that enable the future state to be achieved with the use of NI and NI ecosystem tools and offerings.
  • Guide the introduction of new systems and workflows to enable the customer's desired future state (business outcome).
  • Help with providing training, mentoring, and growing new talent in the ADAS, VSE, EV Power Conversion, and Electronics spaces.
  • Leads customer technical onsite tasks and helps advance opportunities.

You will be accountable for delivering software solutions that adhere to industry best practices, leveraging your business knowledge to identify risks and challenges, and proactively providing technical solutions. You will be motivated to tackle and solve complex problems, and you will be driven and energized to persist until these highly complex challenges are resolved.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • BS degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience in SW Development, system integration, and/or test and measurements industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to use one or more programming languages (LabVIEW, C#, C++, Python, etc.) in software design and implementation.

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and experience working directly with customers, engineers, and business partners.
  • Ability to work optimally in a fast-paced, changing, and ambitious environment.
  • Problem-solve effectively - diagnose technical issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Take initiative, be a self-starter, and work independently.
  • Persistently drive tasks and lead projects to successful completion.
  • Quickly learn applicable technology, systems, and products.
  • Familiarity with NI products and platforms.
  • Availability to travel 25% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Understanding of Automotive communication networks and protocols.

  • Good knowledge of ADAS ECUs and sensors like camera, RADAR, LiDAR, Ultrasonic, etc.
  • Experience with industry best practices for designing to meet standards, safety, and certification for high-power panel design.
  • Experience in LabVIEW, TestStand, VeriStand, LabVIEW RT/FPGA, and PXI/cRIO platforms, as well as text-based languages like C/C++ and Python.

  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitHub, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
