As a Solutions Engineer for the Zurich Region, you will be the trusted technical advisor behind NetApp’s success across some of Switzerland’s most innovative Enterprise and Commercial organizations. Partnering closely with your Client Executive, you will build strong customer relationships, uncover business challenges, and design modern data solutions that help organizations accelerate digital transformation and achieve their strategic objectives.
In this role, you will lead the technical engagement throughout the entire sales cycle, supporting both existing customers and new business opportunities. You will architect and position solutions within complex IT environments, manage multiple opportunities simultaneously, and demonstrate the full value of NetApp’s portfolio across hybrid cloud, data management, cybersecurity, and AI-driven technologies. Your ability to connect technology to business outcomes will help customers unlock new possibilities and maximize the value of their data.
Success in this position requires a combination of technical expertise, business acumen, and strong collaboration skills. You will work closely with channel partners, engage confidently with both technical and executive-level stakeholders, and contribute to a high-performing, team-oriented culture. Job Requirements
- Proven (4 year +) success supporting enterprise or large customers in complex sales cycles
- Engage customers in forward-looking conversations around AI readiness, data strategy, hybrid cloud, and disaster recovery
- Strong knowledge of Data Storage, Data Protection/Continuity (including Cyber), Virtualization, Containers and ideally Cloud architectures.
- Strong discovery, communication, and presentation skills, able to translate technical capabilities into clear business value
- Collaborate with client executives, channel partners and specialists to deliver seamless outcomes and drive demand generation, enablement, and joint selling motions.
- Demonstrate ownership of issues / solutions / architectures in customer or partner environments and work with extended team to help resolve for delivering the highest customer experience.
- Strong expertise in Technical Pre-Sales, with the ability to do hands-on POCs and conduct technical workshops
- Ability to assist in creating ROI/TCO overview and competitive advantages of solution offerings
- Excellent written and verbal (Swiss-) German/English communication skills, including making technology oriented commercial presentations and answering RFPs with partners or sales.
- Maintain deep knowledge of NetApp’s portfolio and competitive landscape to guide customer strategy.
- Partner closely with internal teams to ensure successful implementation and customer satisfaction.
- Travel to the prospective customer's sites & locations as necessary.
- Knowledge of NetApp’s competitive and alliance landscape would be an added advantage
Education
Typically requires a minimum of 6 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 5 years and a Master’s degree;
