L3Harris is seeking a Senior Specialist, Electrical Engineering - Power Electronics to architect, design, test, and deliver advanced power electronics and systems for Intelligence & Cyber mission applications in Palm Bay, Florida. You will own meaningful technical work from requirements and power architecture through qualification and production, building solutions that perform reliably in demanding environments.
This is a hands-on engineering role for a power-electronics professional who enjoys solving complex problems at the schematic, board, module, and system levels. You will develop AC/DC and DC/DC converters, battery charging, power management, and distribution solutions while partnering with systems, manufacturing, program leadership, and fellow engineers to move concepts into mission-ready hardware.

**What You’ll Do**
- Translate system and customer requirements into robust power architectures, electrical specifications, and actionable design plans.
- Design, simulate, analyze, and verify isolated and non-isolated AC/DC and DC/DC converters, battery chargers, and power-management/distribution circuits.
- Perform detailed power analysis, including regulation and ripple, efficiency, thermal performance, magnetics, control-loop stability, EMI/EMC, transient response, and environmental design margins.
- Lead hands-on hardware integration, debugging, and verification using oscilloscopes, phase/gain analyzers, electronic loads, signal generators, DMMs, and AC and DC power supplies.
- Partner with manufacturing and suppliers to improve producibility, manage component obsolescence and long-lead risks, and resolve issues through RCCA and Failure Review Boards.
- Support technical proposals, trade studies, cost/schedule assessments, and new-business concepts.
- Coach junior engineers and communicate technical recommendations to program leadership, customers, and review boards.
**Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or another relevant STEM field or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience
- Active TS/SCI Clearance
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Ability to obtain a CI Poly with existing TS/SCI security clearance
- Experience with proposal generation, including technical architecture, cost, and schedule
- Experience performing detailed analysis of power circuits and custom magnetics
- Experience with mission definition, concept generation, trade studies, preliminary/final design, component selection, integration, testing, materials selection, and design documentation
- Experience developing qualified power hardware for defense, cyber, and other mission-critical applications
- Experience working with manufacturing and production teams in a program environment
- Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Failure Review Boards (FRB)
- Experience generating and presenting technical material to program leadership, customers, and review boards
- Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Experience serving as a subcontract technical representative, including supplier evaluation, SOW development, and technical oversight
- Experience with ECAD and analysis tools, including LTSpice, PSpice, Cadence, Siemens Xpedition, Mathcad, MATLAB, and Python
- Experience integrating firmware/software with hardware in lab and system environments
- Experience interpreting high-level requirements and developing power architectures
- Strong experience in power electronics design, including power devices, control loop theory, thermal management, custom magnetics, PWB layout, and EMI filtering
- Technical knowledge of power subsystems, including batteries, power topologies, charging systems, power control/switching, regulation, distribution, and power quality
