Our team specializes in developing robust, scalable solutions that integrate advanced communications technologies across multiple mission-critical platforms. This is an opportunity to tackle deep technical challenges and define the core software architecture supporting major defense and intelligence operations._ **_Essential Functions:_** - _Knowledge and experience of embedded real-time software development (VxWorks/Linux)_ - _Work closely with cross-functional team members to develop operational performance requirements, interface software and hardware components, and collaborate on system design_ - _Support and participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and formal testing_ - _Contribute to software test plans, procedures, and other relevant technical documentation_ - _Demonstrates depth of knowledge in programming languages, compilers, and application execution_ - _Participate in peer reviews, identify, track and repair defects_ - _Utilize a variety of software languages on Windows, Linux and embedded real time operating systems_ - _Occasional customer support travel (5%)_ **_Qualifications:_** - _Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience._ **_Preferred Additional Skills:_** - _Demonstrated expertise with high-performance, multi-threaded programming concepts_ - _Deep knowledge of multiple programming languages, compilers, and application execution techniques across various platforms._ - _Demonstrated curiosity and ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technical domains outside the core discipline_ - _Advanced proficiency in C++ and demonstrable knowledge of modern object-oriented design principles._ - _Experience with hands-on software development and troubleshooting on embedded targets utilizing an RTOS (Real-Time Operating System)._ - _Advanced knowledge of signal processing, control systems theory, or networking fundamentals._ - _Knowledge of protocols such as IP, UDP, TCP, IPSec, DDS, SNMP, etc._ - _Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment_ - _Solid presentation and writing skills_ - _Previous professional experience working within the Department of Defense (DoD) or intelligence community._ - _Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance_ In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California is $115-207,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
