Position: Sr. SQL Database Administrator (SQL DBA)
Experience: 12+ Years
Location: Remote
Shift: 5:30 PM 2:30 AM IST
Key Responsibilities & Must-Have Skills:
12+ years of hands-on SQL Server Database Administration experience
Minimum 5+ years of Azure Cloud experience (PaaS & IaaS)
Minimum 8+ years of Performance Tuning & Optimization
Strong expertise in SQL Server 2012/2016 and above
Advanced SQL code reviews, execution plan analysis, indexing, and query optimization
Expertise in High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), Always On Availability Groups, and Distributed AG
Experience with Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL IaaS/PaaS, cloud migration, and failover groups
Strong knowledge of backup, restore, recovery, database security, TDE, and auditing
Experience with PowerShell scripting, SQL Agent, and database automation
Proven Lead/SME experience with strong hands-on technical expertise
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Candidate Profile:
Looking for a hands-on SQL DBA who can lead technical initiatives, review SQL code, troubleshoot complex production issues, optimize database performance, and support enterprise-scale database environments.
