Maintains and optimizes Microsoft SQL Server databases, handles backups/restores, and leads small teams while ensuring performance and security.
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for maintaining and administering multiple organisation's databases.
Database maintenance including building of indexes, scheduled jobs, clearing locks, space management and backups.
Maintain backups and restore databases. Maintain database access.
Database restore, deployment and structural changes.
Implement data change requests.
Performance tuning.
Assist with the writing of TSQL code.
Assist with database errors.
Define and document database standards and processes.

- Experience with SQL Mirroring, replication, log shipping, management of files and file groups, table archiving and partitioning, SQL DR technologies, SQL backup and restore.
- Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA).
- B.Tech, B.Com or B.Sc. in Computer Science or Information Systems or B.Eng.
