We are looking for 2 Senior SQL Database Migration Engineers to support a large-scale infrastructure migration.
You will be responsible for planning, executing and validating Microsoft SQL Server upgrades and database migrations in enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities - Plan and execute SQL Server upgrades and database migrations - Perform in-place upgrades and side-by-side migrations - Assess database environments, dependencies and compatibility - Coordinate migration windows, cutovers and production migrations - Validate data integrity, performance, security and availability - Support high availability, backup/recovery and disaster recovery activities - Perform post-migration validation and provide technical documentation - Work closely with application owners and infrastructure teams during testing, go-live and hypercare
Requirements - 5+ years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server administration - Proven experience with SQL Server upgrades and database migrations - Strong knowledge of SQL Server 2012-2022, SSMS, T-SQL and SQL Server Agent - Experience with Availability Groups, Failover Cluster Instances, Replication, Log Shipping and Backup/Restore - Experience supporting critical business applications and production cutovers - Experience in enterprise, managed service or outsourced environments - Knowledge of Windows Server and VMware environments - Azure SQL / AWS RDS experience is a plus
