Role Title: Senior SQL Server DBA
Description:
"Responsible for administration, performance, availability, and security of Microsoft SQL Server environments supporting production workloads.
Core Responsibilities
• Manage production SQL Server environments, including provisioning, patching, and upgrades
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery (e.g., AlwaysOn, failover clustering, log shipping)
• Perform backup, restore, and recovery operations
• Monitor and optimize database performance, queries, and indexing
• Support application releases and validate database changes
• Implement security controls, access management, and compliance standards
• Perform capacity planning and forecasting
• Troubleshoot incidents and drive root cause resolution
• Support Azure SQL / cloud-based deployments where applicable"

SKILLS_REQUIRED
"• Microsoft SQL Server (on-prem + Azure SQL)
• T-SQL, query tuning, indexing strategies
• HA/DR technologies (AlwaysOn, replication, clustering)
• Backup/recovery tools and processes
• Monitoring and performance tools
• Familiarity with SSIS, SSRS"

ESSENTIAL_SKILLS
"• At least 10 years of experience, including work with 30+ TB databases handling 80,000 transactions per second."
