Senior Staff Engineer AI Platform and Infrastructure
You will lead the design, development, and evolution of large-scale AI infrastructure for machine learning and generative AI workloads. You will set platform strategy, build systems for training and deployment, solve architecture and performance challenges, evaluate emerging technologies, and mentor senior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Architect and build large-scale AI infrastructure for training, fine-tuning, and deployment
- Define platform standards and reference architectures for distributed training, inference, and model lifecycle management
- Design scalable systems across compute, storage, networking, and orchestration layers
- Drive performance, reliability, and cost optimization for AI workloads
- Translate requirements into platform capabilities
- Set technical direction and best practices for AI platform development
- Evaluate and integrate emerging AI infrastructure technologies
- Mentor senior engineers and influence architecture
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent
- At least 7+ years of relevant industry experience
- Experience in AI Agent or RAG engineering solutions
- Experience developing microservices and APIs with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Python, or LangChain
- Knowledge of multithreading and distributed architecture
- Knowledge of messaging frameworks such as Kafka
- Knowledge of database solutions including vector databases
- Experience with AI models or multi-agentic AI systems
