Senior Staff Engineer configures, maintains, and enhances Workday HCM modules with a focus on Advanced Compensation, collaborating with HR and IT teams to design scalable solutions and ensure compliance.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Total Experience 8+ years
  • Strong experience in Workday HCM configuration, maintenance, and support.
  • Hands-on expertise in Workday Advanced Compensation, Compensation, Core HCM, Organization Management, and Employee Lifecycle Management.
  • Strong functional knowledge of Workday HCM modules, business processes, and configuration best practices.
  • Proven experience gathering business requirements and translating them into scalable Workday solutions.
  • Experience configuring and maintaining Workday HCM modules to support evolving business needs.
  • Strong understanding of Workday security concepts, organizational structures, and configuration frameworks.
  • Experience leading Workday enhancements, release management, testing, validation, and production support activities.
  • Experience developing and maintaining technical and functional documentation, including technical specifications, configuration documents, test plans, process flows, and user guides.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex Workday functional issues.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to mentor, coach, and develop team members.
  • Experience working in Agile development and project delivery environments.
  • Workday HCM Certification is preferred.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale global Workday implementations is an advantage.
  • Availability to work during US/UK business hour overlap.
  • Shift: 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM IST.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Configure, maintain, enhance, and support Workday HCM modules with a focus on Advanced Compensation and related functional areas.
  • Serve as the Functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Workday HCM and Compensation processes.
  • Configure and support Core HCM, Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Organization Management, and Employee Lifecycle Management modules.
  • Collaborate with HR, business stakeholders, and cross-functional IT teams to gather requirements and design scalable Workday solutions.
  • Analyze business processes and recommend system improvements to maximize Workday capabilities and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure Workday configurations align with business objectives, organizational policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Lead Workday release activities, including impact assessments, testing, validation, deployment, and post-release support.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex functional, configuration, and application issues.
  • Develop and maintain functional and technical documentation, including business requirements, configuration documents, technical specifications, test plans, user guides, and process documentation.
  • Stay current with new Workday features, releases, and industry best practices, and recommend adoption of relevant capabilities.
  • Manage multiple Workday enhancement projects, production support activities, and functional initiatives while ensuring timely delivery.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to consultants and team members.
  • Facilitate workshops, stakeholder discussions, solution reviews, and end-user knowledge transfer sessions.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
