SENIOR/STAFF MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER
Description
Key Responsibilities
Design machine frames, steel structures, sheet metal covers, and vision/optical module mountings.
Create 3D models and 2D engineering drawings using SolidWorks.
Prepare fabrication and assembly drawings.
Select suitable materials and ensure structural strength and stability.
Work with suppliers on fabrication and manufacturing requirements.
Support machine assembly, integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure successful equipment development.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
At least 8 years of relevant mechanical design experience.
Proficient in SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD software.
Experience in machine frame design, steel structures, and sheet metal fabrication.
Good knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.
Basic understanding of machine vision and optical modules, including mechanical mounting, alignment, and integration into automated equipment.
Able to work independently and collaborate effectively in a startup environment.
