Senior Staff Software Engineer Mobile Infrastructure

You will build mobile infrastructure, tooling, frameworks, and reusable components that enable reliable application development at scale. You will optimise performance, improve engineering workflows, establish architectural standards, use AI coding tools, and contribute across iOS and Android platforms.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain mobile infrastructure, tooling, and shared frameworks
• Analyse and optimise application code at the UI and infrastructure layers
• Design and develop reusable mobile components for iOS and Android
• Partner with product engineering teams to deliver infrastructure solutions and establish best practices
• Drive architecture innovations for mobile application development at scale
• Optimise project structure and engineering workflows
• Apply AI coding tools to accelerate infrastructure development and improve code quality
• Evaluate mobile platform and toolchain innovations

Requirements

• 6+ years of native iOS or Android development experience
• Strong experience in infrastructure, platform, or architecture work
• Expertise in iOS with Swift, Objective-C, or C++, or Android with Kotlin, Java, or Jetpack
• Experience using AI tools in engineering workflows
• Experience optimising memory, package size, startup time, and UI rendering performance
• Understanding of design patterns, architectural principles, and mobile SDKs
• Working knowledge of remote APIs, concurrency, layouts, transitions, animations, client-side persistence, and mobile architectural patterns
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with mobile architecture or infrastructure teams
• Experience with performance optimisation, toolchain engineering, automated testing frameworks, or design pattern standardisation
• Familiarity with React Native or Flutter
