Summary
fal is hiring a Senior Staff Software Engineer to design, build, and operate network infrastructure spanning data centers, cloud environments, and compute clusters — working on BGP routing, IPAM, peering, overlays, DNS, and Linux network tuning, with automation in Ansible, Python, and Go. Remote within the USA; visa sponsorship available.
You will build and operate network infrastructure across data centers, cloud environments, and compute clusters. You will manage routing, IP address space, peering, overlays, DNS, Linux performance, diagnostics, automation, and network designs for customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, validate, and operate public and private networks
- Automate network provisioning, configuration, validation, monitoring, and recovery with AI
- Manage ASNs, public IP prefixes, and private address space
- Build and operate BGP routing, traffic engineering, and failover
- Establish private peering with customers, partners, data centers, exchanges, and cloud providers
- Build overlay networks and operate DNS patterns
- Tune Linux networking for high throughput and low latency
- Build network observability and diagnostics
- Develop reusable tooling, standards, documentation, and runbooks
- Translate connectivity and performance requirements into network designs
