Senior Statistical Analyst [For Serving HA Staff Only]

Pay\: HK$74,059 to HK$88,971 [HMPS point 4 to 8] per month (including Monthly Allowance)
Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.
Responsibilities\:
1. Lead and supervise a team of Statistical Analysts I/II and clerical clerks to carry out the tasks as planned in statistical production processes.
2. Collect and consolidate user requirements to support formulation of specifications of statistical and data analytics services. Lead statistical analysts to conduct exploratory data analysis to identify important features required in the analytic and modelling process.
3. Design structured processes of extraction, organisation and transformation of data into analyzable datasets supporting data visualization, data analytics and statistical modelling.
4. Assist in the design of data visualization, data analytics and statistical modelling under the subject domains and carry out related literature and fact-finding search.
5. Implement data visualization, exploratory data analysis and statistical modelling tasks.
6. Maintain and enhance statistical information systems to produce and disseminate routine statistics and data analysis for users.
7. Carry out quality assurance procedures in the statistical production processes.
8. Summarise key findings from data analysis, modelling and projection.
9. Handle user enquiries on data standardisation and definition of statistical measures.
10. Perform other related duties as assigned by seniors.
Entry Requirements\:
1. A bachelor degree in Statistics, Data Science or equivalent.
2. At least 5 years' post-qualification experience in statistical analysis and computing work, or research related work.
Preferred Attributes\:
1. Knowledge of and experience in statistical computing techniques and application of statistical packages & data visualization tools such as SAS, Tableau, Python, R and GIS.
2. Ability to work on Unix and mainframe computer platform.
3. Knowledge of and experience in various HA IT systems such as HAMIS/EIS, CDARS, MIPo, IPAS and OPAS.
4. Knowledge of HA service statistics, and a good understanding of the public healthcare system in Hong Kong and/or overseas.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (including Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word and Outlook).
6. Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese.
7. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
