Senior steel detailer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior steel detailer to join our engineering and construction team in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed construction drawings, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and BIM models for building and structural steel projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and revise detailed construction drawings, shop drawings, as-built drawings, and fabrication drawings.
• Develop and maintain 3D models using Tekla Structures and BIM software.
• Produce accurate drawings and models in accordance with project specifications and engineering requirements.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, consultants, and site teams to resolve design and drafting issues.
• Conduct model reviews, clash detection, and drawing checks to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Support project execution through timely preparation and submission of drawings.
• Maintain proper documentation and drawing control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Mentor and guide junior drafters where required.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building, Drafting, BIM, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant drafting experience in the construction industry.
• Proficient in Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, and BIM software.
• Experience in structural steel, civil engineering, building, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, shop drawings, and detailing requirements.
• Familiarity with BIM coordination and clash detection processes.
• Good technical knowledge of engineering and construction practices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
