Job Description\:
In this role you will play a key role in the planning, coordination, leading and driving of the supplier audit programme. You will represent the company as a trusted representative, during surveillance audits and in turn, lead cross functional groups and drive intended outcomes. Through doing so, you will build and improve productive and effective relationships with suppliers.
Core duties\:
- You will travel to suppliers’ sites (domestic and occasionally international) to conduct quality surveillance activities to assure our suppliers are achieving contractual requirements and product conformity including; Process audits & Product audits; PDVI, FATs
- You will support suppliers with their root cause identification and resolution of corrective actions via monitoring of Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs)
- You will work with suppliers directly to support creation and execution of correction action plans to address process failures, where appropriate
- You will provide support and assistance to suppliers in their facilitation of Quality Plans and improvement activities
- You will conduct validation audits of new suppliers against requirements
- You will interface and liaise with appropriate areas of the Business to ensure work schedules are met and results are effectively communicated and deployed
- You will generate supplier performance metrics to aid monthly performance monitoring
Essential Skills\:
- You will have knowledge/understanding of Quality Management (e.g. ISO9001 / EN9100) standards
- You will bring a clear understanding of how to apply policies, procedures and processes, to the role. This will be demonstrated by your ability to drive and deliver results, whilst communicating clearly & effectively both verbally and in writing
- You will be able to apply the full range of quality engineering tools and techniques (e.g. 8D, 5Ys, Fishbone etc)
- You will have experience as a Lead Internal auditor (ISO 9001)
The Supply Chain Warship Support & Products Team\:
This is an opportunity to gain exposure through supplier visits, both domestic and international in this role, and forge key working relationships and ensure standards are upheld through a vast range of suppliers that are covered by this team. You will also demonstrate your ability to develop, prioritise and drive a detailed programme of work, helping to drive suppliers.
