  • Define, establish, and enforce rigorous incoming/outgoing quality control (IQC/OQC) requirements, product specification, measurement system analysis (MSA/GR&R), and certificate of conformance (COC) standards with suppliers.
  • Drive supplier non-conformance management, material containment, and 8D root cause and corrective actions (RCCA) for component-level manufacturing and reliability failures.
  • Review and approve supplier product change notifications (PCNs), engineering change notices (ECNs), and non-conformance reports (NCRs), assessing cross-functional quality risks.
  • Partner with cross functional teams like design, manufacturing and reliability engineering to conduct component-level design failure mode and effects analysis/process failure mode and effects analysis (DFMEA/PFMEA) reviews, supplier process capability evaluations (Cp/Cpk), and component reliability test reviews.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing engineering, physics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in supplier quality engineering, quality management, or advanced manufacturing focused on electronic and optoelectronic components.
  • Experience managing contract manufacturers/original device manufacturers (CMs/ODMs), conducting on-site factory audits, design/process review, and implementing quality control plans and DFMEAs.
  • Experience driving 8D root cause analysis and corrective actions with component vendors.
  • Ability to travel to international supplier sites when needed.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, physics, material science or related field.
  • 8 years of experience in global component supplier quality management within semiconductor design/fabrication/packaging and precision opto-mechanical technologies.
  • Expertise in data analysis with tools like JMP, Minitab etc. and quality processes like SPC, MSA/GR&R, process capability analysis, DOE, and structured problem-solving (Six Sigma Green/Black Belt).
  • Technical knowledge of optical/electrical components fabrication, packaging, application, or precision opto-mechanical assembly and metrology.
  • Proven ability to proactively manage complex component supplier relationships, drive supplier accountability, and enforce contractual quality specifications.
