St Brannocks is located in New Romney, Kent. The residential service supports six males and females who have varied disabilities, including people who are on the autism spectrum. Our home is situated off a main road, less than 10 minutes’ walk to the town centre.

Our team are dedicated to providing a safe and homely environment, where all the people we care for can make their own choices about the support they receive. We want to improve and positively impact on the lives of our residents.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will act as a positive role model, providing effective supervision and guidance to support staff, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care is delivered at all times.
You will play a key role in supervising day-to-day operations, coaching colleagues, leading team meetings, and ensuring the people who use our service are supported to live fulfilling, independent lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and support the delivery of person-centred support and care
  • Provide leadership during shifts, including handovers, role allocation, and effective communication.
  • Ensure residents have person-centred plans in place and are supported to participate in meaningful activities.
  • Deliver team supervisions and contribute to professional development.
  • Administer medication safely and in line with procedures.
  • Manage service users’ finances and contribute to budget management in accordance with policy.
  • Complete and oversee accurate record-keeping, reporting, and compliance with legislation.
  • Monitor and support team performance, addressing immediate operational issues as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date training and knowledge to ensure safe and effective practice.
  • Previous experience as a Support Worker or Senior Support Worker is essential.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
