Senior System Analyst

Job: - Senior System Analyst - (Must have a valid NV1 Security Clearance)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior System Analyst, with Strong experience Systems Analysis, Project Management, Gateway and Network Security Infrastructure and IT Service Management for a long-term contract role with a Federal Agency.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of demonstrated experience leading complex gateway and network security infrastructure projects in a large organisation (preferably in a government department)

• Strong systems analysis capability, including analysis of technology services, dependencies, interfaces, operational impacts and implementation options

• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate delivery across business, technical and operational stakeholders

• Experience managing schedules, scope, resources, risks, issues, dependencies, change and governance reporting

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce talking points, project documentation and explain complex matters clearly to technical and non-technical audiences

• Experience delivering within secure ICT environments and working with formal change, release, incident and problem management processes

Desirable skills

• Qualifications or certifications in project delivery, Agile delivery, ITIL, systems analysis or a related ICT discipline

Responsibilities

• Lead complex gateway and network security infrastructure projects from initiation and planning through implementation, transition and closure.

• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, setting priorities, clarifying responsibilities and maintaining delivery momentum

• Develop and maintain delivery plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, resource forecasts and status reporting

• Manage project scope, risks, issues, assumptions, decisions and change controls, escalating matters early with practical recommendations

• Engage business, technical and executive stakeholders to build shared understanding and support timely decisions

• Analyse current-state systems, interfaces, operational processes and service impacts to define fit-for-purpose implementation and transition approaches

Visa Status and Security Clearance

• The candidate must hold a valid NV1 Security Clearance at the time of submitting their application.

Contract Details

• Experience level: - Senior - EL1 equivalent

• Estimated Start Date: - Friday, 01 January 2027

• Working arrangements: - (Hybrid)

• Contract length up to 12 months with up to a maximum of 24 months potential extensions.

• Working arrangements: - The client requires these services at the client’s premises in Melbourne VIC, however other locations of Canberra ACT, Brisbane QLD, and Adelaide SA may be considered. A hybrid flexible working arrangement may be considered, within reasonable travel time and distance
