Senior System Engineer (Back End)

Job Responsibilities:

• Participate and lead small team in handling full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including but not limited to requirement gathering, design, development, testing, system release and post launch maintenance of back end systems
• Participate in requirement gathering and analysis, design, testing and support of automatic fare collection systems with external clients
• Prepare documentations such as functional specification, technical specification and test plan
• Process, handle and integrate vast amount of data from various sources for calculation, settlement, and reconciliation
• Ensure on-time and quality delivery and comply with Quality Management System
• Handle ad-hoc projects as assigned

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS or other related discipline
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in information systems design and development
• Hands-on experience in Java Development
• Knowledge and experience in Spring Framework (e.g. Spring Boot, Spring Batch) and web services, with solid experience in both Relational Databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., DynamoDB)
• Knowledge and experience in backend development, including robust API design, development, and integration
• Knowledge and experience in design & development on cloud platform (e.g. AWS or Azure)
• Knowledge and experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, particularly Kubernetes would be an advantage
• Experience in utilizing AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) to enhance daily software development and operational efficiency would be an advantage
• Experience in preparing high quality technical documents
• Client facing project experience would be an advantage
• Strong analytical, problem solving, interpersonal and organizational skills, and self-motivated
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese with strong communication skills
• Candidates with less experience will be considered as System Engineer
