Senior System Engineer
Job Responsibilities
Design and develop work plans to ensure timely project delivery.
Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot server and VM systems for AOT PTS MA and AOT Trunk across 6 airports, including onsite support in Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, and Phuket during PM (Preventive Maintenance) or CM (Corrective Maintenance) periods, as well as other assigned projects.
Verify and inspect the work quality alongside on-site contractors during Preventive Maintenance schedules.
Responsible for opening support cases and coordinating with technical support teams from VMware, Dell, Huawei, or other related product vendors for issue resolution.
Review and validate specifications or BOQs for server, VM, network, Kubernetes, virtualization, cloud, storage, and other proposed solutions in collaboration with PMs, sales teams, procurement, or relevant stakeholders.
Prepare and present work reports, challenges, and progress updates to project leaders or team members.
Conduct training for internal teams on Server, VM, Network, Virtualization, Cloud, and Storage technologies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT Infrastructure within a System Integrator environment.
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in system design and installation of servers (e.g., Dell, HPE, Huawei), along with the ability to manage and troubleshoot various operating systems such as Windows/Linux Server, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Experience in designing, installing, and maintaining storage systems such as NAS and SAN.
Proficiency in designing, implementing, and managing Virtualization and Hyperconverged Infrastructure solutions, such as VMware, Proxmox, Huawei HCI, Nutanix, as well as Public/Hybrid Clouds like Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, Switch/Router configuration, Firewall basics) with beginner-level configuration and troubleshooting skills for devices like Huawei, Cisco, etc.
Experience in designing, installing, and maintaining CCTV systems for large-scale organizations.
Relevant certifications such as HCIP, CCNP, or VMware VCAP are highly preferred.
Proficient in using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting.
Good command of English communication.
