Key Responsibilities
• Provide expert level system administration support for classified test area computing environments, including Linux/Real Time Linux systems, engineering workstations, test area servers, clusters, and network attached devices supporting RDT&E activities.
• Maintain and secure all standalone IM/IT systems by managing performance upgrades, security patches, backups, account administration, access control, and system documentation; act as technical point of contact for vendor hardware/software support.
• Support specialized simulation environments and real time systems, ensuring reliable operation of test area computers, data storage systems, networking components, and systems used for HITL and multispectral test operations.
• Provide technical support for system integration, network implementation, application development, VTC/meeting support, ITE asset management, disaster recovery planning, configuration control, and IM/IT help desk operations.
• Support development, implementation, and maintenance of RDT&E enclaves including patches, configuration baselines, DREN connectivity, AP systems maintenance, corporate/individual backups, and security audit log generation aligned with required accreditation frameworks.
Required Qualifications
• More than 10 years of relevant experience in systems administration, Linux engineering, IM/IT support, or secure system operations within classified DoD environments.
• Demonstrated ability to independently perform all mission critical duties and oversee or guide junior technical personnel when required.
• Expert proficiency with Linux based system administration, real time computing environments, system integration, patching, troubleshooting, and configuration management.
• Strong familiarity with classified system cybersecurity requirements, audit log generation, RMF, JSIG compliance, security patching workflows, access control management, and enclave configuration.
• Experience supporting specialized RDT&E systems, simulation platforms, test area servers, engineering workstations, and distributed laboratory networks.
Education & Certification
• Master’s degree in an information technology, cybersecurity, systems engineering, or related discipline required.
• DoD 8570/8140 certifications strongly preferred (e.g., CISSP, Linux+; other IAM/IAT level certifications applicable to TS/SCI environments).
Clearance Requirement
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• U.S. citizenship required.
