We are looking for an experienced Senior Systems Administrator to join our Adelaide team. This is a hands-on technical role focused on the reliable operation and maintenance of our Windows Server and Desktop environments, enterprise services, software licensing and associated service providers. You will work across servicing, patching, technical support, service continuity and vendor management, while helping improve the reliability and supportability of the systems used across Maptek.

Core responsibilities

  • Administer and support Windows Server and Desktop environments and enterprise services;
  • Coordinate patching, maintenance and service lifecycle activities;
  • Monitor service availability and resolve complex systems issues;
  • Manage operational relationships with vendors and service providers;
  • Coordinate software licensing, renewals and cost optimisation;
  • Support service continuity, recovery and assigned security controls; and
  • Provide technical mentoring and guidance to other employees.

Knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Strong experience administering and troubleshooting Windows Server and Desktop environments;
  • Experience with systems maintenance, patching and enterprise services;
  • Experience managing technology vendors and service-level issues;
  • Experience with software licensing, renewals and cost management;
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and systems-thinking skills;
  • Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders; and
  • Relevant systems administration, Microsoft, networking or service-management qualifications will be highly regarded.
