About the job
Situated within the Platforms Team of Product Engineering, the Senior Systems Analyst leads investigative systems analysis for the development of IB enterprise systems, with integration and data impact in mind. The role identifies complex business and user requirements and translates them into technically clear, functionally accurate specifications for internal and external application and project teams. With a strong understanding of CRM master data, identity data and process flows, the postholder supports successful implementations and the smooth operation and evolution of enterprise integration platforms.
You will work closely with IT, Product Engineering and Product Management teams, third-party suppliers and end users across the IB, helping the Platforms Team assess technical impacts and maintain clear communication as integration services evolve.
Identify and analyse technological developments, functional demands and organisational requirements, translating them into practical concepts and designs.
Lead or contribute to workshops and technical meetings, providing clear technical analysis and input.
Review business, functional and technical requirements, including non-functional requirements, and assess their impact on enterprise systems, integrations and data.
Build and maintain the technical product backlog from gap analysis, reported issues, technical lifecycle work and stakeholder requirements.
Develop and maintain clear specifications, designs and supporting documentation in agreed repositories.
Investigate technical incidents and problems, define solutions and capture reusable knowledge for future troubleshooting.
Collaborate with infrastructure, security, architecture, vendor and application teams to resolve technical queries and support delivery.
Review solutions, development and documentation produced by globally distributed teams and third parties, providing guidance and approval where appropriate.
Maintain awareness of technology trends and recommend opportunities to improve standards, working practices and future platform capabilities.
An IT-related degree or equivalent professional experience in an IT discipline.
Extensive systems development and systems analysis experience, including web applications, databases, user stories and technical documentation.
Hands-on experience gathering and analysing complex business requirements and translating them into precise development specifications.
Strong Microsoft .NET experience, with exposure to microservices, message brokers and API services valued.
Good technical experience with Microsoft Azure, gained through development or analysis work, is highly preferred.
Proficiency in querying and analysing data using Microsoft SQL or a similar relational database system.
Experience delivering major software projects across the development lifecycle; Agile experience is highly preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including chairing meetings, presenting and explaining complex technical matters clearly.
Experience working with globally distributed teams and third-party suppliers, with the initiative to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
