Senior Systems Analyst
Job Description:
- Responsible for analysing, designing, and implementing technology solutions that support business operations and strategic goals.
- You will work closely with business stakeholders, developers, and vendors to translate complex business requirements into robust, scalable system solutions.
- In this senior capacity, you will also provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior analysts, and contribute to the continuous improvement of IT processes and practices within the organisation.
- Lead end-to-end systems analysis and design activities, including requirements gathering, process modelling, and solution architecture for new and existing systems.
- Collaborate with business units to understand operational needs and translate them into clear, detailed functional and technical specifications.
- Oversee system integration efforts, ensuring seamless interoperability between internal systems and external platforms.
- Manage and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring that delivered solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior systems analysts and project team members.
- Monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive initiatives to enhance system reliability, security, and scalability.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation including business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, system design documents, and test plans.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and system integrators, ensuring deliverables are met on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices, and proactively identify opportunities to apply them within company's context.
Requirements:
- Candidates should have at least six to eight years of relevant experience in systems analysis, IT project delivery, or a related field, preferably within a large enterprise or public sector environment.
- Demonstrated experience in managing full project lifecycles, from requirements gathering through to deployment and post-implementation support, is essential.
- Candidates should have solid hands-on experience in application development using technologies such as Java, JavaScript, Angular, SQL, and web and object-oriented programming frameworks.
- A good understanding of SDLC methodologies, whether waterfall, agile, or hybrid, is expected.
- Prior experience working with government digital services or familiarity with Singapore's whole-of-government IT frameworks will be an advantage.

Qualifications:
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline from a recognised university is required.
- Relevant professional certifications such will be advantageous.
- Candidates with a strong track record of delivery and demonstrable technical competency in the required programming languages and development frameworks may be considered even if their academic background is in a different field.
