Senior / Systems Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for a SeniorSoftware Developer to join our in-house development team. You will build andmaintain internal business applications using .NET, Flutter, and SQL (MicrosoftSQL Server and PostgreSQL). Working closely with the requirement team and users,you will analyse those requirements, challenge them where needed, and helpshape practical solutions. You will then develop, test, and release them foruser acceptance testing (UAT), and assist with production support for liveapplications, including after-hours support when required.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements and Solution Design

• Review and understand user requirements prepared by theteam

• Analyse requirements for completeness, feasibility, andimpact on existing systems

• Raise questions, identify gaps or conflicts, andchallenge requirements constructively when needed

• Propose technical solutions, including effort, risks,and trade-offs

• Work with the team to refine and agree on the finalsolution before development

Development

• Design, develop, and maintain internal applicationsusing .NET (C#) and Flutter

• Design and maintain databases in Microsoft SQL Serverand PostgreSQL, including tables, queries, and stored procedures

• Build and integrate RESTful APIs between applicationsand services

• Write clean, maintainable code following team standardsand best practices

• Take part in code reviews and give constructivefeedback

Testing and Release

• Carry out unit and functional testing before handover

• Prepare clear release notes describing new features,changes, and fixes

• Deploy and publish releases to the UAT environment

• Support users during UAT, then investigate and resolvereported issues

Production Support and Maintenance

• Assist with production support, responding to andresolving incidents reported by users

• Investigate root causes of production issues and applyfixes to prevent recurrence

• Provide after-hours support when required, includingurgent production issues and scheduled maintenance or deployments

• Troubleshoot and fix issues in existing applications

• Improve the performance, stability, and usability ofcurrent systems

• Maintain technical documentation for applications anddatabases

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, InformationTechnology, Software Engineering, or a related field

• At least 5 years of hands-on software developmentexperience

• Has delivered at least a few projects end to end, fromrequirements analysis through deployment and support

• Experience working with business users or stakeholdersto understand their needs and propose solutions

Technical Skills Required

• Strong proficiency in C# and .NET (ASP.NET Core, WebAPI, Entity Framework Core)

• Working experience building apps with Flutter and Dart

• Solid SQL skills with Microsoft SQL Server andPostgreSQL: schema design, complex queries, stored procedures, indexing, andbasic performance tuning

• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs

• Comfortable with Git, branching, and code reviews

• Good understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, andlayered or clean architecture

• Able to debug and resolve production issuesindependently

Good to Have

• Familiarity with Flutter state management approaches(e.g. Provider, Riverpod, or Bloc)

• Publishing apps to the Google Play Store and Apple AppStore

• CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, orsimilar)

• Cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and Docker

• Authentication and security practices (OAuth 2.0, JWT,role-based access)

• Writing unit and integration tests

• Experience mentoring or guiding junior developers

• Background or experience in the manufacturing industry

• Able to understand and analyse business requirementsand translate them into technical designs

• Confident in questioning and challenging requirementsto identify gaps, risks, or better alternatives

• Proposes practical solutions and explains trade-offs ineffort, cost, and timeline
